Forum OpenACS Development: RSS

Lars blogger RSS still broken in oacs 5.3.1. When you hit the XML button there is no clean RSS file, but a windows screen prompting Opening rss.xml , defaulting into a temp file ... C:\Documents and Settings\Ben\Local Settings\Temp\rss-2.xml has been reported as bug but not fixed.

Also, shouldn't we replace the xml button with the new logo http://rss.weblogsinc.com/2005/12/23/microsoft-to-use-firefoxs-rss-logo/

Thanks
Ben

Ben,

What's inside the file? Looks more like your browser is handling the rss.xml file in a way you do not expect.

I just double checked (firefox and IE). In news, RSS is also messed up http://www.villagetalk.net/news/rss/rss.xml, I added a test news message that works, but the RSS news link defaults to OpenACS news and seems to pick up OpemACS forum posts logo and imports them into the rss feed.

In larsblogger I get this... http://www.villagetalk.net/blog/rss/rss.xml .., a popup telling me : you have chosen to open an XML document etc...

This can't be related to my browsers I would think.

Cheers
Ben
