Forum OpenACS Q&A: ]project-open[ Developer Conference/Training September 27th - 30th in Barcelona

Hi,

http://www.project-open.com/en/services/project_open_devcon.html

We're going to celebrate the 2nd ]project-open[ Developer Conference in about 8 weeks in Barcelona. The conference will consist of four days:

Day 1 - ]po[ Configuration, Data Model and Reporting: That's interesting for those who want to offer ]po[ consulting...

Day 2 - ]po[ Software Development: Generic OpenACS development. We will talk about Templating, ad_form, Listbuilder etc. So this could be interesting for the general OpenACS audience.

Days 3+4 - Guided Exercises: Just work on your own problem sets and we will help you if you got stuck.

Send an email to Klaus (mailto:klaus.hofeditz@project-open.com) if you are interested. There are discounts available for OpenACS community members. The number of participants is limited to 35.

The coolest features: The coffee breaks are on a beautiful terrace outside the building (if it doesn't rain), on Friday night we'll have a nice Catalan dinner and on Saturday night we'll hangout in the city.

See you in Barcelona!
Frank

Sounds great, would be a good possibility to have a "business" OpenACS meeting for all the developers and companies interested in OpenACS outside .LRN.

Sadly pricing seems to be a little bit steep and OpenACS developers like me would probably be not too much interested in the learning part of the first two days anyway.

Hi Malte,

Prices

You're right, I'd have to be more precise: For OpenACS members with development experience we'd basically need to cover costs, which is around EUR 100/day for room and food (plus your cost for the hotel room).

Cheers,
Frank
