Forum OpenACS Development: Aggregated portlets in My Space?

I am looking at the existing examples that implements the new Tcl interface for creating .LRN applets/portlets (namely weblogger and news-aggregator). It looks like there's currently no way of letting the "aggregated" portlet on the user portal page (My Space) display its own special UI instead of stacking the UI found on the portlets in the various communities I've joined on top of each other. I might be missing something, though.

Sometimes you don't want all the bells and whistles in the aggregated portlet - either because it would occupy too much screen real estate or because some features simply aren't useful or relevant in that context ... You would get overwhelmed with options, it seems.

This was easy to solve with the old non-Tcl driven approach with its separate foo-portlet package. But since this appears to have been jettisoned with the new clean approach, I wonder how you would do the same thing nowadays.
