When you add content sections via the admin pages, you can specify that folks need to be registered in order to view that section.  Doing  so sets up filters in tcl/ad-security.tcl that do the work.

Adding a content section means a link to the section will also show up  in the user's home page, etc.  If you don't want this, you could always set up the filters yourself in a custom start-up proc.

I tried to do this recently (OpenACS 3.2.2) and it didn't work so we may have a bug there.

Hmmm, this is pretty important.  Has it been logged in the SDM?

I didn't because I didn't have time to stress test at the time, but I should have made time. I apologize. Will test again, make sure it doesn't work and if it doesn't, post at SDM.

No need to apologize, if I were a nice guy I'd try it myself and fix it rather than ask you to try it and enter it into the SDM (and fix it, hey Roberto, wanna fix it? :)
