Forum OpenACS Q&A: Talented developer/sysadmin/consultant for hire :)

Hi all,

After the main projects I lined up for early 2004 have all folded due to lack of funding at my main clients, I find myself not gainfully employed and therefore available for pretty much anything you need (I'm quite good at washing cars, but don't trust me to change your brake fluid).

I am experienced at developing in a large range of environments including OpenACS (since ACS 4 beta in January 2001) as well as a campaign hardened Unix systems administrator (since 1996) with Windows, MacOS and VMS in there for good measure.

I have been working as a self-employed consultant / developer / sysadmin since the middle of 2000. Prior to that I worked as an IT infrastructure specialist at The Boston Consulting Group.

For further detail of my experiece, you can take a look at the resume on my website, it's in two halves: written resume; and skills matrix.

I am experienced at servicing clients remotely, but I am also more than happy to travel to you or your client for extended periods assuming the price is right. I have EU and Australian passports, so I can work long term in most places of the globe with minimal paperwork. The Australian dollar isn't as competitive as it was a few months ago, but it's still on the cheaper side of western currencies.

If you are interested, please email me at mark@pumptheory.com and we can arrange to speak further on the phone.

Thankyou for reading,

Mark.

PS: Sorry to anyone who doesn't think this is an appropriate forum for this sort of message. We really should get around to the bazaar idea we often talk about.
