Forum .LRN Q&A: How the test result is used by Assessment??

I would like to know what does the assessment do with the test result.

When we define a course in imsld and it has a test. The imsld opens the test with the assessment package.

I would like to know, how is this functionality implemented in assessment. How does assessment deal with the result.

And finally, I would like to know, where does assessment save this result. Directly in the database?? In which table??
