Can anyone point me to any documentation on adding static content to
OpenACS?  Specifically I would like to have a new folder under the
root that I can serve static pages from.  Just adding the folder and
browsing does not work.(why?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's all you have to do. Did you check the permissions of the newly created directory to make sure it's accessible? It should be 755 (rwxr-xr-x) at least.

If you don't have those permissions you can change it with the chmod command. Post the error message you get. Just "does not work" is not very helpful.

Robert, of course.... that was it.  I'm not used to all these permissions in Linux...
