Hi all, I am pretty new to OpenACS, and been tried it over last two weeks, now I am facing some questions and problems, hope you guys could give me some suggestion and solution. Thx !
  1. as a newbie, should I go ahead with V4.6.3 or directly to V5.x.x?
    if V5.x.x, which sub-version should I use for develop a production site?
  2. I tried setup V5.1.0 yesterday, and found that I couldn't create a new package, it returns error as below:
    My env: RH9, PG7.3.4, AOL4, TCL8.4.5, and keep all locations as doc suggest.

    Database Error

    I was unable to create your package for the following reason: 

    Required switch -array not provided

Definitely go with 5.0

I'm not sure about the error you came across.

and Jade, are you saying that I should go with 5.0, instead of 5.1 ?

About the error, I just couldn't "fix" it.. doesn't anyone facing this b4 ?

5.1 is as suitable for production sites as 5.0.4.

Can you post more information about your error?  What errors preceeded it?  Can you inspect the error log (/var/lib/aolserver/service0/log/error.log by default) for more errors?
