2. Is it okay to extend the form builder calls by switches we think are necessary for assessment (can we bunch TIP them?).
If you have a feature that is generally useful, go ahead and submit a TIP. I think you mostly will just need to define new form widgets and let them take care of the additional attributes. That is the cleanest way to extend the behavior of form builder.
