Forum OpenACS Development: JSR-170: Content Repository for Java API

I read on the OSCOM mailinglist that some CMS systems (including TYPO 3) are going to implement the JSR-170 Content Repository Approach (http://jcp.org/aboutJava/communityprocess/review/jsr170/index.html).

Would it make sense to make the CR-API complient to this emerging standard?
