After looking at the original schedule (https://openacs.org/4/schedule), the Status Page (https://openacs.org/new-file-storage/download/status.html?versi on_id=189) and the latest release (https://openacs.org/sdm/package-releases.tcl?package_id=9), I was wondering whether we are ahead of schedule or I am reading something wrong.

According to the original schedule, the core beta was to be release June 30th, but OpenACS4.2 Beta 1 is available now. I know we are far from a release, but are we really a month ahead of schedule?

Where are you seeing that beta 1 is available? We have not made an
official release of OpenACS 4.x at this point. The SDM may list an
anticipated release date, but that was done a while ago for testing of
the SDM.

The schedule you see at /4/schedule is pretty much right on. Many
things are working, and the porting effort has become much more of a
parallel process than the sequential one described in the schedule.

So, trust the schedule and especially the status report. OpenACS is
*not* in beta just yet.

Ben,

The "official release" is named OpenACS4.2-b1. It says that the first beta is to be released May 1. If we're not there yet, that should be changed.
