Forum OpenACS Q&A: db-logging problems

Collapse

I clicked on the db logging link inside the monitering package. I
received the message that table ad_db_log_messages did not exist.

I then found www/doc/sql/db-logging.sql and fed it to psql. It created
the table ok but fails on the "create or replace procedure ad_db_log"
code.

I also turned on EnableLoggingP in ad.tcl, which i think is a red
herring since it seems to focus on clustering events.

Any pointer appreciated,

James

Monitoring hasn't been ported yet.  Nor has anyone signed up to port it, yet.  So to use it you'll have to use Oracle at the moment.

If you'd be interested in helping to port this package, let me know.  We've got some docs that help newbies and our merry little team tries  hard to be helpful and answer questions, etc.

James is using 3.2.5...this small SQL file was never ported, but it is  never used.  It breaks the link he mentions, though.  I was confused as there's a monitoring package in 4.x which also has't been ported and is up for grabs if anyone's interested!

The 3.2.5 table and function were so simple I just rewrote them and committed them a couple of minutes ago - try it again, James!
