In a few systems I saw the possibility to display the first couple of characters of the content of the destination of a link when moving the mouse over the link. Is this good UI? Would anyone object to changing this when displaying forum threads or a list of news entries?
I am aware of the database penalty this brings, so obviously we'd have to test it first.
