Forum .LRN Q&A: Bulk Mail unusable for large communities

Currently sending bulk mail (read spam) in .LRN is unusable if you have large communities, as all members of the community are displayed in a table with a checkbox in front.

Besides taking ages to load, this is very user unfriendly. Sadly, I'm no UI expert, therefore I'd ask for feedback how this should be handled.

My immediate suggestion would be to display the first 25 users the system finds and offer a link to select from the full list. Most people will only send the email to administrators or members anyway, so I think not much in functionality will be lost.

Comments before I change this and commit ?

Why not using pagination with alphabetical order?

Not very user friendly if you need to transport the values from checkboxes across the pagination (not even sure this would work).
