Forum .LRN Q&A: FileStorage Question

Hi all,

I want to create a folder on FileStorage that works similar as a linux "/tmp" folder.

All members of a class will can upload files to it but only the file's owner and course administrators can modify or delete the files. Also, the members won't can create subfolders.

If this is possible, how can i do it?
We are using oacs-5-1 & .LRN 2.1.

Thanks in advance for your response.

Paco,

Sloan is also running 2.1 and on our system, site wide administrators can control folder permissions in any class or community because site wide admins have a button on the Documents pages that group admins don't: "modify permissions on this folder." Group administrators have the interface to control file-level permissions only. So what i have done for faculty is ask them create the folder they want to use, and then i go in and modify the permissions so that students can upload only.
