At the risk of incurring major flamage, Carl, on your wiki question, 4.X has the page module which would do just fine for what you'd like. The owner of a 4.X site would have to give you admin on, say, the /comparison node, and then you'd be able to create and mount pages as you preferred. I know this site is still OACS 3.2, so that wouldn't work here.
