Forum OpenACS Q&A: Response to Please help me to understand more about open source licences

You'll have to be more specific in your questions. Can you tell more clearly what information you're looking for?

The Mozilla Public License is a free software license that gives certain extra privileges to the original entity releasing the code. It was created by Netscape when it released the Mozilla source code.

For you as a user it allows you to freely use the software, in both commercial and non-commercial settings. As per modification of code, you can do that, but I don't know all the particulars of that license.

There's good information at www.gnu.org and www.opensource.org.
