I would like to remove the support for ETP being able to used as the root together with the Main Site subsite. Host node mapping is already working so we can drop this feature from ETP. There are some hacks in ETP to get into to work well together with Main Site subsite.
Now that I see the advantages of supporting both file and lob storage type. I will implement both for ETP2. modetp does have both although the lob storage type is not being used.
There is also the caching issue in ETP. Now that we will support binary files. Does this mean that will cache the binary data? Will this make nsd memory footprint bloat? Currently it uses util_memoize.
I also think that one thing that we may (not sure) support is an export or publish feature.
