I have added support for H1,H2,H3,H4 headings to the wiki package. You can see it in action at https://openacs.org/wiki/

It is available for OpenACS 5.1 from the repository, and in OpenACS 5.2 or 5.1 branch of CVS.

Very nice. Where is the exact syntax for the wiki, so I understand it a little bit better ?

The formatting instructions are at https://openacs.org/wiki/doc/wiki-help

The next most important improvement is allowing file uploads within the wiki. Right now you'd have to upload a file somewhere else, file-storage, or photo-album for example, then link to it from the Wiki.

I don't have any immediate plans to implement this, but it should not be too complicated.

Other improvements would be:

1) User interface to revision history
2) Last modified date and user
3) Diffs of revisions would be interesting

I thought of something else :)

There isn't any locking, so if two people are editing at the same time, they might be surpised if someone's edit appears instead of theirs. They will all be saved int he revision history, so nothing is lost.

Oops. I promise this is the last post for a little while.

The wiki pages aren't really accessible from search because you need a sperate content_type to index and generate the URLs.

Right now the pages are just content_revisions. Someone could create a wiki_revision and then write the service contracts to handle that. Volunteers are encouraged to visit #openacs if they are interested and need some help.
