Some sort of sponsored mod_aolserver or FastCGI solution could definitely benefit the entire community. Cleaning up, packaging, and documenting AOLserver on Win32 would just be much less work.

Is this the consensus? Also, how much of an ease-of-use problem is there for Windows sysadmins running AOLServer? I understand that it's Unixy, but how much would a Windows sysadmin have to learn to keep a reasonably large dotLRN installation (say, 10,000 users and 250 classes) up and running reliably? And how does that learning curve compare to the same sysadmin running mod_aolserver on Apache?
