When I posted my previous message I happened to glance at the text of the note at the top of the page after submitting it. There is a link to "this software" that goes to http://photo.net/wtr/thebook, clicking on that goes off to a "we're going to put a page up here someday" page on CCM at redhat.com.

Is "the book" no longer online? Did RedHat somehow hijack the link to photo.net?

I don't remember for certain, but it seems many of the links that were at photo.net/wtr/ are alternately available from http://philip.greenspun.com/wtr/ including "thebook" which links from there to http://philip.greenspun.com/panda/.

Currently philip.greenspun.com is down (yet greenspun.com is up). There are comments on where to find the books in this thread

I guess part of my point was how to correct the link when someone submits a message to the boards. My first public site is in the works and there are messages being posted. I really don't want the cooks and waitresses coming to restaurantedge.com to see a link to "this software" and getting to RedHat.

I think we need to have that link point to somewhere on openacs.org that will continue to have links to resources about the software we are running.

G. Armour Van Horn, your point is well taken.  What about using http://www.openacs.org/  until something equivalent replaces it??
