Forum OpenACS Q&A: News Package

first of all,
This isn't a installation problem.
I've included the news module on my main page.

But I got a weird situation with.
The thing is: there is news on the database but they don't show up on the include column, on the main website page, but they show up when i go to the news main page

The main page:
http://www.myybiz.net:8090

The news package main page:
http://www.myybiz.net:8090/news/

I've spent about three hours looking at the tcl files and the xql file to see what could be wrong. Form where they get the content on the db.
But nothing, i have no clue what's going on

Install the developer support service.

Then you can activate db query tracking either by visiting /ds/ and turning it on or clicking "DB" ont he developer support toolbar. Once you have DB query tracking you can examine the queries that are run for each request and compare the working one to the non working query.

I think you will have to pass in the correct package_id to any include, since news needs to know which news package to show and the main website page package_id will not be correct.

Ok, I have /ds installed.

What do you mean to pass in the correct package_id to any include, since news needs to know which news package to show and the main website page package_id will not be correct?
