Forum OpenACS Development: More package Ideas

Having never used dotlrn, I decided to try it for:
A. Use in the classes I teach at UNLV
and
B. A demo for the Hotel School at UNLV to hopefully drum up interest in using this.

Being very familiar with OACS, the install was easy, but as I started to want to add functionality, I went to install packages and was not sure what does and doesn't work with dotlrn (who knows, maybe all of it does).

My thought is, add a flag or something to the apm that blocks if a conflicting package is installed, for example, I thought portal was installed by dotlrn, but it shows up as a new package when I go to install from OACS repository.

This could be true for many packages and might at least help with the confusion to newcomers.
