Don is going to be away next week on a hawk-banding expedition, so he
won't be around to "bless" the code and declare it ready for testing.
We figured that we might as well give everyone the week to finish up
their work, especially since it looks like we've got a lot of coding
being frantically finished up this weekend. :)

The new freeze date is a week from *Monday*, not Sunday, which makes
it 9/23.  The rest of the dates will slide accordingly;  beta will be
on 10/7 and the release on 10/21, all Mondays.

I will attempt to update the status page
(http://dev.openacs.org/projects/openacs/4.6/project-status) at least
once a day, when there are updates to be made, so folks can see how we
are progressing.

The code freeze is being delayed by a couple of days, to include a few last-minute changes.  New date is Thursday, 9/26.

I'll be updating the project status page later today.

I have branched off 4.6 this AM (for some reason I couldn't connect to openacs.org when I tried last evening, so it didn't get tagged yesterday as promised above).

The tag is oacs-4-6. After testing we'll move to oacs-4-6-beta-1 etc. If you fix bugs in 4.6 please remember to first check out a copy from the oacs-4-6 branch. This works for me:

cvs -ddonb@openacs.org:/cvsroot checkout -r oacs-4-6 -d openacs-4-6 openacs-4

Bug fixes will be merged into the HEAD after 4.6 is released.

Hooray!

Its Testing Time!

I'll be getting in touch with people over the weekend and early next week to get stuff going... and ... hopefully the The Testing Certification will be available also.

Don,

If you're happy enough with the little certification registry I showed you last week, I'll get that moving.

Do you want me to carry on hosting it at the acceptance test server? or did you want o put it up here somewhere?
