Forum OpenACS Q&A: Loquacious, Lusenet no more?

Just noticed that Loquacious is no longer accepting requests for new
realms to be added. As per instructions I sent a mail to
mailto:webmaster@greenspun.com but it was returned with mail failure. I
managed to contact an administrator of one of the other services
(Andrew G.) who said that folks didn't have enough time to continue
providing this service.
Can anyone do this for me - I have volunteered to set up a community
site in New Jersey.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi John,

<shameless commercial plug>

I'm gearing up to do web hosting for loquacious-style comments, although I do need to charge for the service. Or for that matter, you might want your own full OpenACS instance with *all* the good stuff OpenACS has to offer, beyond just collecting comments on pages. Have a look at www.acornhosting.net if interested.

John if you take Cathy up on her offer you wont be disapointed, I say that as a well satisfied customer.

I have volunteered to set up a community site in New Jersey.

in light that it is a volunteer engagement maybe someone can be so kind as to host this for free?

another thought is that maybe openacs.org can host some of these free services that used to be hosted by philip/arsdigita. that would be really good marketing (philip understood this) and at the same time a good service to the community.
