Running oacs 5.2.3b1 with aolserver 4.?
Have downloaded and installed xotcl-core per instructions on the openacs wiki.

Final insruction is that you can now browse the xotcl-core pages.

All I get at that page is a page titled:

XOTcl Classes Defined in Connection Threads

There is nothing on my machine that references xowiki...

Could I get a suggestion as to where I need to look?

xowiki is a separate package called "xowiki". If you have installed only xotcl-core, you wont have it. if you have installed it, it is per default mounted on /xowiki

I have not xowiki, Gustaf, and the package isn't offered via the software installation from repository screen.

Is there another way to find it or download it?

After reading your docs about it on your site, my mouth was watering at the potential of what I can do with such a tool! (still is)

you have to get it currently from cvs head.
