Forum .LRN Q&A: Policies for classes

Has anyone though of having policies a student has to agree to before he can join a faculty, a class, a test aso. asf.?

Or, generally speaking: If user x wants to have access to content y he has to agree to policy z. This agreement has to happen only once and will be stored along with the time when it happened as well as how long it took the user to read the policy before accepting (so we could argue in the long run, that the user really has read the policy).

We haven't had any requests for this specific functionality. However, a related problem is that our legal department is pushing for a disclaimer before anyone uploads photos for PhotoBook.  The lawyer has specific requirements: The date and time that the "Accept" button was pressed and storing the users' password at that time.

Its pretty simple functionality but I think there might be a need for a general "Policy Acceptance" package that could be used for classes, profile info, as well as more non-dotLRN eccommerce type uses.
