About the size of the error log: I have OpenACS 4.6 on my home system, with the packages Notifications and ACS-Mail-Lite (necessary for the forums?)  installed.  After 3 hours the error log has grown by about 500,000 bytes (half a meg), that's about 4 Meg per day?  I think some sort of default error log rotation would be useful.

Looking at the packages I have installed, I will probably attempt to reduce the log size by commenting out notices in:
packages/notifications/tcl/reply-sweep-init.tcl, packages/search/tcl/search-procs.tcl and packages/acs-mail-lite/tcl/search-procs.tcl .
I think this is the best way to keep the errors log smaller than the traffic log :)
