Sorry if this is already solved and I just did not look closely enough to the documentation / source code.
We will enable sending notifications through Instant Messaging (Jabber). For this we will not be able to send the whole message like we do with e.g. forums. Is there support for sending / a way to send an one line blurb with URL (short message) that can be used by the various modules to deliver a short message (instead of the long one) for IM clients or SMS for that matter?
