I was diagnosing a problem with the background delivery provided by xotcl-core (fails under https) and discovered that the version of xotcl-core I'm using was vastly out-of-date.

What is the best choice of xotcl/xotcl-core versions for use with OACS 5.32?

the last versions on the oacs-5-3 branch are:

0.56.3 for xowiki
0.46.3 for xotcl-core

you can checkout the last 5.3 version of xotcl-core with:

cvs -d:pserver:mailto:anonymous@cvs.openacs.org:/cvsroot co -r oacs-5-3 openacs-4/packages/xotcl-core

Raúl, the checkout is correct, the version numbers are not

xotcl-core 0.56.3
xowiki 0.60.3

Check: https://openacs.org/repository/5-3/

Dave,

the easiest way to upgrade is to go to your local installation
http://yourinstallation/acs-admin/install/
and do a install/upgrade from repository. For a 5.3 release, it picks up the packages from the oacs-5-3 branch
