Why my assessment don't calculate in the Results view the number of "percent score". It's always 0.

Please Help me!

Hi Itaco,

What version of dotLRN and assessment are you using? The percent score seems to work fine in the last release (2.4.0).

It doesn't work If you are refering to the sum of the points, I think Emmanuelle means the individual question scores, which work ok.

Dave Bauer told me a way to make it work and we have it working in our instance. I can commit the changes if Dave agrees

This sounds like a bug, I thought it was fixed on HEAD a while ago. I can't refer to the cvs browser since I haven't fixed it yet.

Hi all,

I confirm that it has been fixed in 2.4.0. The total percent score is computed and displayed correctly in that version for assessments of type "test".

Itaco: I'd recommend you upgrade to 2.4.0

You guess wrong, I'm talking about the total percent score, not the individual question one.

After testing again more carefuly, the percent score is computed only if you're an admin of the class. Strange. However that may help in finding how/where to fix it.

I'm using the underlying assessment package without the dotLRN Assessment Portlet, so I haven't seen the recent commits referred to here. However, I have submitted a patch to the assessment package that causes the points-per-section in the database to be updated every time a question is added or edited through the asm-admin UI. This fixed the problems I was seeing with a session's percent_score not getting updated correctly.

If you're not editing questions through the web interface provided by the assessment package, this patch won't help you. Perhaps someone could review the patch to see whether the same approach could also help in situations where questions are being imported.

I think it makes more sense to implement this as a database trigger. This will make it more reliable and work from any technique to add or edit questions.
