Forum OpenACS Q&A: Debian AOLServer install question

I'm trying to install aolserver (3.2-3) on an unstable debian machine.
I installed successfully a couple weeks ago, but apt-get --purge
remove'd it a while later. I'm trying to reinstall it today and I get
the following error:

subprocess pre-installation script returned error exit status 10

suidunregister: /usr/lib/aolserver/bin/nsd not registered

should there be an entry in suid.conf or something like that? Thanks,

I figured out a round about way of doing it. I was able to install 3.2-2 and upgrade to 3.2-3.  (I think) The later version fails in the preinst script at the line

db_get aolserver/group_name

as the 2 db_inputs before it fail. Maybe I missing something easy.. I couldn't figure out how to get a template file out of the deb. If I'm missing something, give me an email. - Ethan Aubin

After loading the datamodel, the administration page would not work properly. The logs showing the same error as this thread. The driver compiled from the tarball seems to work though.
