  <para>OpenACS &version; will run with <link
  linkend="source-postgresql">PostgreSQL</link> 9.0 or newer.  9.5 is currently
  the recommended version of PostgreSQL.</para>

  <para>It is recommend to use a prepackaged version of PostgreSQL,
  which are available in source and binary formats from 
  <ulink
      url="https://www.postgresql.org/download">www.postgresql.org/download/</ulink>.

  <para>Larger installations might want to tune the PostgreSQL
  installation with e.g. the utility <ulink
  url="https://github.com/gregs1104/pgtune">pgtune</ulink>, which is also
  available via <userinput>apt-get install pgtune</userinput> or
  <userinput>dnf install pgtune</userinput> on Debian/Ubuntu or RedHat systems.
