you are using xowiki with a version of XOTcl older than 1.5.0 (out since Sept 2006). The current version of XOTcl is 1.5.3. I have provided a fix in cvs head for backward compatibility, which should address the problem above.

Note, that the current snapshot in cvs head is transitional, my plan for a next release is in about two weeks. The actual version is functional, but please don't depend on the new and undocumented features and classes, these are likely to change until the release in several aspects.
