OnCourse http://oncourse.iu.edu/ looks like it would be a good application to compare dotLRN to. Its an online course management system used in house at Indiana University.

There is also Navigo and open source online assessment tool http://navigo-dev.ummu.umich.edu/community that is part of Indiana Universities OKI program.

Why does it have my name in the Author section on the previous forum page for this section?

Is there a problem with the code because i am NOT the author?

Any ideas?

I think it is a bug in forums. It is showing the author of the last post in the thread rather than the author of the thread. I should be "Author" now, based on this theory.
