Thanks very much for the reply. Now that I have played with .LRN a bit (I am new to this) I see that the problem appear intermittantly and it may or may not crash the program. Before I ask for anyone's advice maybe I had better learn more about .LRN and OpenACS and for the moment make the question more general: is it normal for the program to create, or call for, a filename with a complicated extension like this:
file: /web/service)/www/dotlrn/graphics/logo-course.jpg-course.jpg
