does anyone know where i can find the xowiki documentation?
Plus, whatever else type of docs exists: tutorials, practices and etc.

thanks for the linkage to the documentation.

i think i figured out most of the basics of xowiki but i wasn't able to figure out the templates.

what are xowiki templates and how are they used?

In case you mean page templates (xowiki pages of type ::xowiki::PageTemplate), check out http://alice.wu-wien.ac.at:8000/xowiki-doc/#page-templates

The forthcoming version has many improvements in this area.
