Forum OpenACS Q&A: OACS 4.6.3 and Ora817 Intermedia INSO?

1: OACS 4.6.3 and Ora817 Intermedia INSO?

Do these 2 things compute? Specifically, I have seen lots of references to OpenFTS. My questions are:

- can I use Intermedia INSO with 4.6.3?
- does OpenFTS work *with* Intermedia? Or *instead* of Intermedia?
- are the instructions setup to use Intermedia?

Any/all help is greatly appreciated.

To my knowledge OpenFTS does not support Oracle yet, whereas Intermedia (obviously) does not support Postgres. I assume you talk about the Oracle version of OpenACS and the site-wide-search module should be able to access Intermedia INSO features. A documentation on how the Content Repository makes use of Intermedia can be found at https://openacs.org/doc/acs-content-repository/guide/search.html.
