Forum OpenACS Q&A: is the bugtracker searchable?

I was about to log a bug against 5.0, and thought I should search to see if someone else had lodged the same issue so as to avoid duplication if possible. Am I missing something obvious (or non-obvious for that matter), or is it impossible to search the bugtracker by derscription and/or title?

I tried the SWS box in the page header, which returned about a bazillion hits against forum postings, but it'd be great to be able to do some simple searches against filename/module/description/title when logging bugs...

Yes. Browse to the page showing all open bugs, if you think it's open, and hit Ctrl+F (or in Mozilla, you can just hit slash, then start typing) to search for a bug.

In other words: No, it's one of the many improvements that I would love to make in bug-tracker. Or even better: See someone else contribute.

(For starters, we need to upgrade openacs.org to run a bug-tracker fresher than a year old ... we made significant improvements in Feb-Mar this year. But Dave's working on that. 😉)
