1: Customizing the user interface (staff list)

One of my clients would like the Staff List portlet to have "Tutors" instead of "Course Assistants" and to delete the "Teaching Assistants" list.  Might someone offer advice on how I might best do this?  Thanks!

Bruce,

You can change the role title through the Edit Properties page of the class (off Control Panel).  I have never tried to remove a role, although you could try removing the titles for Teaching Assistants (blank them out) and see what happens.

Hi DeeDee!  Thanks for the tip, changing the pretty name works just fine.  Now I'd like to delete "Teaching Assistants".  I thought first to find/grep the term and file and mess with the template, but came up with nothing, so now I wonder if I must plunge into postgre to find it there?
