Forum OpenACS Q&A: OpenACS bi-weekly Newsletter, 2003-10-23

Only one external item for this issue, so hopefully this is an indication of precisely how busy people are with giving 5.0 the finishing touches! 😉

On a more serious note, then, if people prefer to post the news they may have directly in the forums, then we might perhaps want to consider whether we need a newsletter at all. Going to monthly issues might make people even more reluctant to send in news instead of waiting for the next issue, yet on the other hand a newsletter without news is a bit pointless.

I am doing a talk at the NTEN conference in Boston on Open Source Web Applications. I am looking for screen shots of nonprofit sites (both big and small) that use OACS.

We currently have 235 open bugs (up! 102), 50 open patches (up 13) and the total bug count to date: 1016 (up 102).

This adds up to apparently and precisely no bugs fixed since the last newsletter, which is non-sense, of course, even judging purely from the CVS trace. So from this issue we will track the closed+resolved count as well, which is 781.

Frank.
