Some of the things you have mentioned are fundamental. So if you don't agree with it. I guess its either better to look for some other platform, or create your own.
Some are trivial and others have done this, they are either private code base or not default on openacs.org. You can either do it yourself or pay some of the folks here to implement it. It may or may NOT be accepted on the code tree, but that is a different issue.
Both the site and code base are maintained by volunteers, we welcome the feedback. But as most OSS projects, its normally better to just do it yourself.
