Andrew S., to be blunt, if you "do not like" PostgreSQL and would
"feel more comfortable" if OpenACS used MySQL, then you simply have no
idea what you're talking about - at least not when it comes to
relational databases anyway. Educate yourself, then come back and
talk to us again. You might start with the classic
Why Not MySQL
article, but based on the rest or your comments there are probably
many others you'll need to read and understand as well.
I could give more advice on things to read, but buried in the rest of
this thread above are a a few other good ones, e.g.
Philip's book,
which should be enough to get you started.
