Forum .LRN Q&A: Problems with FAQ

Dear all,

I tested the FAQ on the test server and receive strange behavior.

With the Oracle installation everything is ok,
With the Postgres installation when trying to add a new Question and the Answer ist HTML-based the form doesn't work. You can submit as much as you want. Changing to plain text is accepted.

Anyone who experiences the same?

Greetings,
Nima

I was able to create an html q&A on the test server (although the rendered answer was in plain text anyway when I specified html). Did you have any tags in the html or something that might trigger a validation error?

Strange...now it works on the test server. But you are right..the html is rendered as plain text. Is this for security reasons? I inserted an applet tag and the server didn't complain.

This also happens with my own test server. But it should display html, right?

yeah, it should display as html (I think this might be ticketed already but if not we should create one).

I looked at the bug list. If I am not wrong there are only three open bugs reported - none dealing with this issue. Shall I create a new bug?
