Forum OpenACS Q&A: Ticket Tracker

I've asked the same problem over at the ACS discussion but I'll ask
here as well.

Is it possible to setup the ticket tracker to allow anyone to enter
tickets without being prompted to login to the system?  I want to be
able to point users at the ticket tracker page and get them to enter
the details of their problem into a ticket.  Once submitted, you
would get only authenticated people to manage the tickets.

Cheers

Nathan

Currently, the new-ticket ticket tracker does not allow that. Add that to the feature request :)

Probably setting up a param to the .ini file like "AcceptAnonymous 1" and then if a user_id is not found (ad_verify_and_get_user_id ?) then assume the posting is anonymous.

I needed to do that to the classified ads too. I have a ads domain for jobs and I want to let anyone post to that domain. Same to the Neighbor-to-neighbor (I set up a category for CS students to post their opinions on professors eheheh).
