I found OpenACS a while ago, and when I tried to find it again, it
took forever, even though I knew it existed. Is there any way we can
get more publicity for OpenACS on the arsdigita and photo.net sites?
Otherwise, this is going to be an obscure project..

It's ironic that you mention this now when we just got promotion on the Great Bridge site, on Slashdot, and many other Linux sites. For sure, we could always use more publicity. But things are improving exponentially these days.... Do you have any additional ideas in mind?

This is not a publicity idea per se, but I do think that the recent events, including the Great Bridge news, the Slashdot feature, and the free box from aD would be good to post on the news section of this site.

I just found it frustrating trying to find OpenACS off of the ACS sites: photo.net and arsdigita

I didn't know about the additional publicity, but it's nice to hear about it.

I find that there are certainly enough places on photo.net where we can completely legitimately mention OpenACS, and I try hard to link to 😊 the site whenever I get a chance to, without being too obvious about it.  Soon, we should have lots of references to it all over the web/db forum...
