Forum OpenACS Q&A: Postgress driver

I would like to understand the difference between nspostgres.so and postgres.so.  According to what I've read the nspostges.so driver is AOL's version of the driver.  The postgres.so is a driver maintained by OpenACS.

I've been advised to use the postgres.so driver becuase that is the one maintained by OpenACS.  Is this correct?

Not anymore. The latest version of the driver is available from the AOLserver sourceforge download page http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=3152 . That version works fine with OpenACS.
