Thank you, Don, for responding to my inquiry. Being the CTO at
Celebrityblvd, and having a very good relationship with my
associates, puts me in a position to make strong decisions like
this, and I *am* willing to take this risk. I am aware of the
problems/disasters that could ensue, and I'm also aware that
this could be a very encouraging trend-setter. Naturally, I have
my own selfish reasons for this - I am personally a proponent of
anything open-source. It's great for technology, for society, for
personal motivation and gratification, etc.
So now the biggest questions remain: What
hardware architecture should I use, and how flexible is Karl's
templating system (should I implement my own)? I want to do
this right, to set an example for what an OpenACS site can be. I
believe a strong representation of its capability would be
beneficial to everyone in this community.
