I hear you all loud and clear - thanks for the comments. The mere fact that the ACS is available on an opensource database is already one heck of an achievement 😉
Some trivia: I've already installed Oracle, AOLServer and classic ACS on my Linux (SuSE 6.4) box (development only). The next step would be to get OpenACS going. Hopefully I'll be able to offer some contribution to the OpenACS soon! But I first need to work through Tcl/Tk ...
