Is it possible to show at the weblog-portlet page only entries of type pages.
If one writes text with hyperlinks to files all new uploaded files are also shown at the weblog-portlet page and in recent viewed files. I have not tried if the solution to this problem would be to set the file inactive, because it is not a solution. Users do not have the right to set items inactive.

E.g. A class writes essays in word and then each student opens a new page and puts his/her summary with links to the appropriate word document.
At the end the weblog-portlet page shows all uploaded files mixed with pages.

First, weblog show always on pages in state ready ("active" pages).

Concerning your feature request: just now i have added an additional feature
to allow to specify the types of pages. One can now specify in the weblog page

or one can change in the weblog-portlet page the default of entries_of
(either in the prototype page, or per xowiki instance, once the page was loaded).

The change is available in cvs HEAD. Make sure to use a recent version of weblog-portlet.page
